The Guardian newspaper reports that Iran is working with al Qaeda to force the U.S. to retreat from Iraq.
Once again, notice how our enemies are relying on the Democrats in Congress to break our will to win the war.
Iran is secretly forging ties with al-Qaida elements and Sunni Arab militias in Iraq in preparation for a summer showdown with coalition forces intended to tip a wavering US Congress into voting for full military withdrawal, US officials say.
On Monday, be sure to call your Senators and tell them to stand firm against amnesty for illegal aliens, and for enforcing the laws on the books. We need to secure the border first, before we look at a guest worker program or anything else.
You can fax your Senators by clicking here.
Uncontrolled borders have allowed criminals to roam free along our border. The recent deal made by President Bush, John McCain and Ted Kennedy has serious problems. Be sure to voice your concerns to your Senators on Monday, when the cloture vote will happen.
My friend James O’Keefe is at it again, this time with a brilliant undercover effort to expose Planned Parenthood for encouraging a young girl to lie about her age to avoid getting her boyfriend in trouble for statutory rape. This is an alarming story about how this organization pursues its evil agenda at any cost.
Cybercast News Service has the story here.
Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles is threatening to sue a student pro-life activist who recorded an abortion clinic employee encouraging her to lie about her age to avoid being reported as a victim of statutory rape.
Lila Rose, an 18-year-old sophomore at the University of California Los Angeles, is the founder of a pro-life magazine on campus. In March, she entered a Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles (PPLA) clinic, posing as a pregnant 15-year-old and said her boyfriend was 23 years old.
A girl in that position would be considered a victim of statutory rape because she was under 16, and California law requires clinics such as Planned Parenthood to report cases of statutory rape. In hidden camera video of the encounter, a PPLA employee tells Rose that she could “figure out a birth date that works” to avoid having PPLA notify police.
On Monday, Sharpton made an insulting remark about presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who is a Mormon.
“As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don’t worry, that’s a temporary situation.â€
Will the liberal media or the Democrats criticize Sharpton and protest outside his office the way they did when Imus made his “nappy-headed ho’s” comment? Probably not. Perhaps someone on the Left will call for his resignation and go after his sponsors. Doubtful.
We will be waiting and watching to see how the media and the Left react to this religious ‘bigotry’.
Update: Romney says Sharpton’s comments were “bigoted.”
I was watching Bill Maher’s show tonite, and just heard the seemingly wasted Sean Penn say that Bush and his cabinet are guilty of “murdering young Americans” and should be in “fu@#$ jail.” Listening to these leftists talk about the war against al Qaeda and its allies is frustrating. Gary Shandling even said we should stop talking about “winning and losing” the war.
These Hollywood idiots were on with Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., who gained my respect. He refused to join the far left surrender-monkeys and said that the enemy in Iraq is al Qaeda. Ford should be praised by conservatives for trying to keep the Democrat Party from going over the deep end.
I recently spoke with a political insider in Tennessee who said that Senator Fred Thompson will enter the race for President after his Law and Order contract expires during the third week of May. This is apparently what he is waiting for, as there is some clause that might prevent him from doing what he needs to do to run.
The source is a Republican elected official in the state house in Nashville who I consider to be very credible. Otherwise, I would not post this on my blog. I guess we will know for sure in a few weeks. With Thompson running third in recent polls, he could really shake up the race.
Omar at Iraq the Model, a blog in Baghdad, says that the Democrats are hurting the war effort in Iraq.
Just as we began to see signs of progress in my country the Democrats come and say ‘well, it’s not worth it, so it’s time to leave. Evidently to them my life and the lives of twenty five million Iraqis are not worth trying for and they shouldn’t expect us to be grateful for this strategy although its tools are not fully deployed yet is showing promising signs of progress.
General Petraeus said yesterday that things will get tougher before they get easier in Iraq and this is the kind of fact-based realistic assessment of the situation which politicians should listen to when they discuss the war thousands of miles away. We must give this effort the chance it deserves and provide all the support and constructive critique, not the ‘war is lost’ empty rhetoric.
