The Taxpayer Tea Party Launches Across the Country

In only a few hours the national movement against the bailout nation begins in cities across the US. From City Hall in New York City and Independence Hall in Philadelphia, to the White House in Washington, the Saint Louis Arch and the Santa Monica pier in California, American taxpayers are launching a movement against the bankrupting of our country. Michelle Malkin has an update on the various tea parties being held on Friday, February 27th. But there are also many more that are taking place in small towns across the country, which aren’t listed yet. I talked to activists in Sacramento, Tampa, Jacksonville, Atlanta and elsewhere today and they are fired up and ready to go!

This movement is just the beginning of a much bigger revolution by grassroots Americans to take a stand against the spending spree in Washington. I’ll do my best to report from the Washington protest, and also upload video from around the country. Thank you to everyone who is leading or participating in this protest on Friday. We are all part of something big tomorrow, and it will only get bigger and louder.

Fantastic, it is good to see that we are not alone, we can do something.

We have a tendency to sit back and watch what happens, now we have to do something, else what we love about this country will be trampled into the earth.

America is still a great nation but if we sit back this time soon America will no longer exist as we know it now.

So right. Someone needs to organize something very big. I mean extremely big with big trucks and things to get us noticed. Mess up traffic, shut things down for a couple of hours. And I mean in Washington and have simultaneous rallies at our capitols for those who can’t afford to go to Washington. What about refusing to pay our taxes? We need something to send a shot heard around the world.

It’s about time we the people stand up for what we want in this country. We’re considering organizing another, similar protest in San Diego. Any thoughts, comments or advise would be very helpful. You might also want to check out our blog to increase your knowledge on what’s going on in our country: http://www.LetsSeeChange.com

As a conservative, I would certainly like to see less govt, lower taxes, etc, etc. However, it seems to me we have been getting sheared like sheep no matter the party currently in power. Yes, Obama’s spending outdoes everyone and it makes me ill thinking about it but I truly feel that those with their hands on the levers of power such as the Federal Reserve banksters and others are the ones that need to be dislodged. And to do that will take all of us, Democrats AND Republicans. But we are divided. We bicker and squabble over the merits of one or the other. We think if we can just get ‘our’ guy in, then our troubles will be solved. Well it doesn’t work. And we will need to come together on this one and clean house. These Tea Parties are great and it is refreshing to see so many people getting out and making their voices heard but we will need to do more than yell and make signs. We will need to vote the long term incumbents out and responsible people in, no matter the party. You may disagree but look back at the curve representing the national debt. It’s a steady climb through many administrations. If these Tea Parties were less party-centric, they would be much more powerful and unifying in my opinion. As Lincoln said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand”
