Hillary The Movie

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

I just watched David Bossie’s new film, “Hillary The Movie.” It was a good reminder of the corrupt and power-hungry Clinton political machine. I highly recommend it to conservative opinion leaders who want to spread the word about the threat her presidency would pose to our national security, individual freedom and economic prosperity.

The film also has a cameo by my boss, FreedomWorks chairman Dick Armey, which is cool. So get the dvd, watch it and pass it along to someone else.

Congrats to Citizens United and David Bossie for a key tool in the arsenal of truth against the Clinton propaganda machine.

Ryan Sorba to lecture on “The Born Gay Hoax” at Michigan State University

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Ryan Sorba will be giving his talk about “the born gay hoax” on Tuesday at Michigan State University. This is also the theme of his upcoming book, which argues that the pro-homosexual movement is a complete fabrication by gay activists to gain minority status as a special class. Sorba quotes at length various leaders of the gay movement, who admit that there is no such thing as being “born gay” but people choose to be this way. Sorba will argue that the American people have been duped by a crafty few political activists whose goal is complete acceptance of their lifestyle.

You can watch his speech at California State University — San Bernardino from last year.

Already, the campus left at MSU is organizing a different event and raising money in order to counter Sorba’s argument. This should make for an interesting day at MSU on Tuesday.

Columbia University Invites Terrorist Ahmadinejad to Speak

Friday, September 21st, 2007

Columbia University has invited Iranian thug Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak on Monday. So, let’s get this straight, a holocaust-denying dictator responsible for the deaths of American troops in Iraq gets an invitation to speak at our universities, but anyone right of center is protested or deemed “too controversial” to speak. What a topsy-turvy world we live in.

The truth is that the Left on campus supports America’s enemies, whether they be communists like Hugo Chavez, or Islamists like Ahmadinejad. As long as you spout anti-American propaganda and hate President Bush as much as the Left does, you are in the club.

Along with the MoveOn.org ad calling General Petraeus a traitor, the Left has proven that Americans can question their patriotism and devotion to our way of life. I will not apologize ever again for calling the Left anti-American, since their devotion to Marxism and coddling of Islamist terrorists has become routine.

Planned Parenthood BUSTED for telling girl to lie about her age

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

My friend James O’Keefe is at it again, this time with a brilliant undercover effort to expose Planned Parenthood for encouraging a young girl to lie about her age to avoid getting her boyfriend in trouble for statutory rape. This is an alarming story about how this organization pursues its evil agenda at any cost.

Cybercast News Service has the story here.

Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles is threatening to sue a student pro-life activist who recorded an abortion clinic employee encouraging her to lie about her age to avoid being reported as a victim of statutory rape.

Lila Rose, an 18-year-old sophomore at the University of California Los Angeles, is the founder of a pro-life magazine on campus. In March, she entered a Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles (PPLA) clinic, posing as a pregnant 15-year-old and said her boyfriend was 23 years old.

A girl in that position would be considered a victim of statutory rape because she was under 16, and California law requires clinics such as Planned Parenthood to report cases of statutory rape. In hidden camera video of the encounter, a PPLA employee tells Rose that she could “figure out a birth date that works” to avoid having PPLA notify police.

The Gun Debate Ensues

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Everyone agrees that the Virginia Tech shooting was a tragedy. The debate about what could have been done to prevent the crime, or future crimes has already begun.

John Lott has the best write-up of opinions that I tend to agree with. Here is his blog.

This shooting was in a “gun-free zone.” Stricter gun laws would not likely have prevented this or any other major gun crime. If one of the professors or students had been armed, they might have had a fighting chance to prevent some of the bloodshed. We will never know.

Stop Ted Kennedy from speaking at the Reagan Library!

Friday, April 13th, 2007

My good friend Rick Reiss is leading the charge in California. Below is an excerpt from the letter he has sent to the Reagan Library officials. You can voice your displeasure at Kennedy’s invitation to speak by sending a letter to info@reaganfoundation.org and Reagan.library@nara.gov. Read more about Kennedy’s visit: http://www.reaganfoundation.org/visitorguide/calendar.asp

As an occasional visitor, a donor to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and as a great admirer of President Ronald Reagan, I must voice my extreme displeasure over the planned Reagan Forum on Saturday, April 28, 2007. In this planned forum, Senator Edward Kennedy (D - MA) is scheduled to lecture on the grounds of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

To put it simply, Senator Kennedy is an unsuitable and inappropriate figure to be given the privilege of lecturing at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. I do believe that allowing Senator Kennedy to lecture does a great disservice to the memory and the legacy of President Reagan.

First, Senator Kennedy has proven himself to be an amoral man who uses personal family and political connections to evade the law. On June 18, 1969, Senator Kennedy attended a party at Chappaquiddick in Martha’s Vineyard. After the party, Kennedy drove home accompanied by Mary Jo Kopecne. During the drive Kennedy drove off of the Dike Bridge and into the water. The car plunged into tide-swept Poucha Pond and came to rest upside down underwater. Kennedy was able to swim free of the vehicle, but Kopechne was not.

While there has been much speculation as to whether Kennedy was driving drunk, there is little doubt that Kennedy failed to save Kopechne, failed to summon help immediately, and in fact contacted not the police but rather his lawyer first. This is the behavior of a reprobate.

Senator Kennedy is also unsuited for the honor to lecture at the Reagan Presidential Library because he is so diametrically opposed to the conservative values, principles, philosophy and American traditions that President Reagan espoused and lived by.

Senator Kennedy has always chosen to side with a statist government philosophy that only stifles free markets and cripples economic freedom and individual initiative. Kennedy has continued (even to this day) to advocate for bigger government programs, more government spending, higher confiscatory tax rates, socialized medicine and a weakening of America’s national security infrastructure.

Granting Senator Kennedy the high esteem of lecturing in a library and museum devoted to concepts like Americanism, free enterprise, individual rights, and rule of law makes a mockery of everything that President Reagan valued. This lecture would be seen as an abomination. Please reconsider this April 28 lecture and cancel it immediately.

“Indoctrinate U”, a new film by Evan Maloney

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Evan Maloney, a friend and an excellent film maker, has announced that his film is ready for distribution. His film will help educate people about the Left’s takeover of college campuses and their squashing of dissent. The film is called, “Indoctrinate U.”

Please help get the drum beat going for “Indoctrinate U” and help us win the battle for college campuses. http://www.Indoctrinate-U.com/

You can help by visiting his website, signing up to attend a screening and generally helping spread the word around the country through your own networks about the film.

This is one way we can all help educate people about the problem, and generate even more interest in the organizations and people who are trying to improve the campus climate for conservatives.

Ann Coulter should not speak at CPAC

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

After last year’s remarks, calling Muslims “ragheads” and this year’s remark, calling John Edwards a “faggot” at CPAC, Ann Coulter has solidified her reputation as a bigoted, loud-mouthed shock pundit whom true conservatives should ostracize.

As I watched her on C-SPAN today I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. On national television Coulter went out of her way to use a word that has no use, other than to hurt, offend and degrade. It wasn’t funny, and it wasn’t cute. It was stupid. The sad part is that some self-professed conservatives clapped and laughed and cheered for her. Shame on them.

CPAC should not invite Coulter back to speak, and organizations should not promote her as a writer nor as a speaker. I used to recommend her to students as a resource, but I will no longer do so.

Segregation is so fifties… or so I thought

Even more disturbing were conversations I had at a bar in Adams Morgan later on. There were a handful of kids wearing George Wallace buttons who were extolling the virtues of segregation and saying blacks and Hispanics had lower intelligence quotients. Their racism clearly influenced their views on illegal immigration policy. By the way, these guys were the loudest supporters of Tom Tancredo for president.

How, in 2007, anyone could hold such views and proudly display the image of a man (George Wallace) who represents hatred, discrimination and white supremacy is beyond me.

I certainly do not want to be associated with such ideas. Their thinking is tribalist, collectivist and deterministic. It stems from the identity politics and conflict theory that Marx devised and his intellectual descendants promote. How anyone who holds such anti-freedom and anti-individualist ideas can call themselves conservatives is perplexing. The whole reason conservatives should oppose affirmative action and multiculturalism is because we base our judgments of people on their individual merits, and not on their artificial “ethnic group.”

This was the first CPAC I attended and it very well could be the last if Ms. Coulter, Mr. Tancredo and their minions continue to hold center stage.

Is Ann Coulter good for the conservative movement?

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

James Fitzpatrick has a good article on this question over at Catholic Exchange. I tend to agree with his conclusion that although “popular” conservatives often ignore the intellectual foundation of the conservative movement, they do bring people into the movement. This happened to me, as I started listening to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, but then was introduced to ISI and started reading the founding books by Russell Kirk, Bill Buckley and others.

Here is the piece.
