		<description>The Republicans have been betraying conservatives for decades. It's just become more blatant lately. There once was a time when conservatives and libertarians were almost synomonous. Now one is the antithesis of the other. That's the root of the problem. The Republicans jettisoned their principles for what they thought was political expediency. They are about to end up with neither. And they deserve it. It's time to rebuild the party from scratch by supporting and voting for Ron Paul endorsed candidates or those of the Libertarian Party when those aren't available. This country desperately needs an alternative to the political oligarchy of the Republicans and Democrats.

Also, while cutting domestic spending is commendable it's the defense budget that is the single biggest expenditure in the budget. Most of which is used to continue an unconstitutional and hopeless war and to maintain the government's overseas empire. Without deeply cutting the defense budget other cuts are meaningless.</description>
