Iraq War resolution fails in Senate

Despite all the media fanfare and soundbites, the Senate Democrats’ attempt to pass a nonbinding resolution condemning President Bush’s “surge” policy was defeated by Republicans.

It is my opinion that if the Democrats want to stop the war, or simply prevent more troops from heading to Iraq, they should do something decisive like cut off the funding. They should take a principled stance instead of constantly playing political games.
